VA relaxes rules for benefits for TBI-related illnesses – News – Stripes

This is great news for veterans with traumatic brain injury.

The VA has proposed rules that would allowed  unprovoked seizures, dementia, Parkinsonism, some hormone deficiencies and depression be connected as “secondary” to TBI. 


With the new rules,  veterans with these conditions  may not have to have to wait and fight their way through the Board of Veterans’ Appeals and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. 

We’ll know in a few months what the final form of the rules will be.
